BUSH CAMP RULES & INFO

Check-In & Check-Out Unless otherwise arranged with management, sites can be accessed from 1pm onward on check-in day and checkout is 11am. Sites must be left clean and tidy or fines of up to $500 will apply.

Water- We do not provide potable water at the Bush Camp or Caravan Park. The large tank is unfiltered bore-water, the small tank is rain water. The Southend general store sells boxed water. The closest free, potable water that can be easily accessed is at the Millicent and Beachport Visitor Centres.

Toilets- We have two flushing toilets. Please do not empty portable sceptic waste into our toilets as our septic system cannot handle it. The towns dump point can be found on the Bridges Drive, as per our Southend map (see Local Maps).

Showers – A cold, open-to-the-bush shower is near the large tank (see map). At a per use charge, ($5 per person or $10 per family), a warm shower can be had at the Caravan Park. Please text Claire to arrange this. This is NOT an option during peak.

Animals & Pets- All pets must not be noisy or aggressive. They may be rejected for any reason that management deems appropriate. Pets are to be supervised and kept secured on leads, at all times within the park. Guests are responsible and fully financially liable for any loss, harm or destruction caused by their pets to the park property, other guests and other animals within the park. Excessive pet noise/barking is very frustrating for other guests and therefore noise is to be controlled by owners. If this fails, said pets may be evicted. All pet waste (faeces & leftover food) must be wrapped and disposed of in general waste bins immediately. DO NOT FLICK FAECES IN THE SCRUB - WE HAVE PLENTY OF BIN BAGS AND BINS FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE.

Wildlife is prominent around Southend and within our parks, especially at the Bush Camp. Please be mindful of all animals and keep a respectful distance from them. Please do not feed them. Any injury or damage caused by these animals is not the responsibility of the Southend Tourist Park. Please contact management if animals are an issue and we will try to help with them.

Fires- FROM BOXING DAY UNTIL FEB 1ST- NOT PERMITTED! It is too dry and too busy.

OTHER TIMES DURING FIRE SEASON- In provided underground pits ONLY

NON FIRE BAN SEASON- In provided underground pits or BYO pits.

BYO pits must not leave burn marks. Pavers must be borrowed from management.

CFS RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED STRICTLY all year round. Any damage caused by your fire to any land or property will be your financial responsibility.

The use of chainsaws is strictly prohibited! No vegetation is to be altered.

To buy wood, text or call Claire and Jack before 6pm daily.

Property and Injury- Guests must secure their belongings at all times. Management accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage that may occur to a guest’s personal property or any personal injury whilst staying at the park.

Trees-The Park is inspected regularly, however, trees and branches may still fall from time to time. Guests and visitors entering the park do so at their own risk. Please take notice of overhead trees when parking and advise us of any dangerous looking limbs.

Noise & Behaviour- Please respect neighbouring guests. Noise is to be kept at minimum from 10pm - 8am. Any excessively loud guests who receive noise complaints may be asked to leave. We reserve the right to evict any guest from the park deemed to be behaving in a socially unacceptable manner; that is causing damage or disturbing other guests; using unacceptable language; or otherwise breaching the park’s rules. No refunds will be given in such circumstances and charges of up to $500 will apply for any damage to property, vegetation or land or extra cleaning fees that result from this behaviour.

Generators-. Allowed only from the hours of 8am and 8pm. Generators are not to exceed 60db spl measured at 7metres.

Children- are to be well supervised at all times within the park and those aged under 8 must not attend amenities without an adult. When riding bikes etc, children must wear a helmet/safety equipment and not ride through other guest’s sites. Bikes should not be ridden in the park at all after dark.

Smoking- Please be mindful of other guests and children. There is to be no smoking within 4 metres of any buildings or food preparation areas. Failure to comply may result in fines up to $250.
