Fire restrictions do start in November, so please ensure you’re following CFS rules.

Bush Camp PREmade inground pits are ok to use.

All BYO pits need to be FULLY enclosable with a lid!

We require the small fire to be watched by a responisble adult at all times, have a shovel AND 20L water within 2m of the fire.

You are allowed beach comfort fires but please, DO NOT cover when you leave. Instead, drown them and leave them visable.

If your fire is particularly smokey and annoying neighbours, you’ll be asked to entinguish immediately.

Please see the detour picture below. Southend to Beachport is closed for much needed works.

GOOGLE MAPS HAS NOW UPDATED DETOUR INFO

FROM VIC / MT GAMBIER / MILLICENT WAY - traffic is NOT effected by the detour, you can drive straight to Southend as usual.

FROM ROBE - Please look closely at the detour traffic, I would recommend adding HATHERLEIGH into google maps, THEN Southend from there.

BEACHPORT way (AND BACK)- see map. I recommend google directions to HATHERLEIGH first, then your destination.

THE BEACH TRACK to Beachport is possible, but with recent weather I would recommend experienced 4X4 drivers, have recovery equipment, check conditions and do a tag-along with a mate.

The Southend Community Club will be open Friday Nights. The bar opens from 5.30 and meals start at 6pm. You can make all meals Takeaway for $2 extra.

The Southend General Store is open everyday, with liquor, post, basic groceries, fresh uncooked flake, hot pies etc . Please note the Takeaway is currently closed.
